Meet Your Photographer

For years, I have served my community as a firefighter, EMT, and technical rescuer. Whether working structure fires, responding to catastrophic disasters, or conducting high-complexity search and rescue operations, I have witnessed people at their very best and their very worst. Those experiences have taught me that life is fragile, time is precious, and every moment carries eternal significance. They have also strengthened my faith, reminding me that God is present not only in moments of triumph, but also in tragedy, sacrifice, and hope.

Service extends beyond the fireground. It is found in the relationships we build, the families we protect, and the communities we invest in. I believe that every person has a story worth telling, and that serving others means preserving those stories for generations to come.

That belief led me to create Shield & Shutter—a photography and videography business dedicated to capturing God’s work through family, community, and service. My goal isn’t simply to create beautiful images; it’s to preserve the moments that matter most. From family milestones and business owners pursuing their dreams to the men and women who answer the call as first responders, every photograph is an opportunity to honor the people God has placed before me.

Shield & Shutter is more than a business. It is an extension of my calling. The same heart that serves on emergency scenes is the heart behind every camera I hold: to protect memories, build genuine relationships, and reflect God’s goodness through authentic storytelling.

Whether I am wearing turnout gear or carrying a camera, my mission remains the same—to serve faithfully, love my family well, and glorify God in everything I do.

Because in the end, the greatest legacy we leave behind isn’t measured by the fires we extinguished or the photographs we captured. It is measured by the lives we served, the people we loved, and the faith we lived out every single day.
